About Our Workshop Leaders

Phyllis Lundy, President, combines extensive and diverse general management and human resources experience with 17 years as a trainer, facilitator and consultant. She has developed and conducted workshops for numerous organizations, including The Library of Congress, Qwest, The U.S. Army Corps ofEngineers, Simpson Housing, Transamerica Capital, Inc., AIMCO, The Federal Highway Administration and various other local, state and federal government entities. She is an adjunct consultant and trainer for The Transportation Learning Network, Right Management Consultants, and a former member of the faculty of the Graduate School of the USDA, where she received the 2004 Team Faculty Excellence award for her role in training the Customs & Border Protection Division of the Department of Homeland Security. Phyllis has a BS degree in Psychology, is a qualified instructor for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and is certifiedin Vital Smarts Crucial Conversations, The Center for Creative Leadership’s Benchmarks 360º assessment and the Change Works, LLC, Leading Change and Change Resiliency programs.

Kathy Stewart, Vice President, has 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, including positions as Area Vice President of Adelphia Communications, with operations responsibilities for a six state area and over 400 employees; Area Director of AT&T; and Area General Manager of TCI Communications. Recognized for her strong interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, leadership development, team development, and as an effective and successful visionary strategic planner, Kathy brings these interests and talents to her work as a trainer and consultant. Kathy has also held many leadership positions on boards, advisory committees and industry associations. She is qualified MBTI trainer and an adjunct consultant with Right Management Consultants. Kathy holds a BA in Communications and an MA in Organizational Behavior.

Catherine Teutsch, CFP®,Vice President, has over 20 years experience with regional, national and international private and public sector organizations, including Transamerica Capital, Inc., ING, and INVESCO Funds Group, Bellco Credit Union and the US Department of Defense. With significant experience in the areas of strategic planning, process improvement and project management, as well as training in Six Sigma methodology, Catherine’s qualifications in the field of organizational performance development are strong. She has over 15 years experience in the field of communications, including the design and delivery of market research initiatives, customer segmentation and database marketing and the development of collateral materials supporting marketing and communications objectives. A Certified Financial Planner(CFP®) since 1988, Catherine also has a Master of Science Financial Planning degree.

Marsha Benedetti brings a diverse background of more than 15 years experience working in both profit and not-for-profit sectors. With her Professional In Human Resources Certificate (PHR), Marsha has provided her expertise in human resource management, recruitment and interviewing skills. Her true passion for training and facilitation has been focused on organizational development, leadership development, and change management. Marsha is also a trained mediator and has provided many volunteer hours to a community mediation program. She continues to support individuals and groups to work toward constructive conflict through training and coaching. Marsha has a BS in Consumer Science and a MBA degree from Colorado State University.

Elfego Gomez III brings over 20 years of experience as an educator, executive coach, and consultant to the world of development and training. He specializes in the design and facilitation of leadership and team development programs based upon a broad compendium of experiential approaches including psychological assessments, business simulations and ropes courses. Formerly National Director of Training & Development for Junior Achievement, Elfego is an adjunct faculty member with the Center for Creative Leadership and a graduate of Notre Dame University. He has extensive international experience, including projects in Europe, Asia and Central and South America. He has served such clients as Microsoft, General Motors, Coca-Cola, The U.S. Olympic Committee, The EPA, Weyerhaeuser, Credit Lyonaise, NCR, and the Warren Bennis Leadership Institute at USC.

Tom LaRotonda is a personal and professional transformation trainer, mentor/coach, facilitator, writer and keynote speaker. Owner of Core Matters, Inc, a Denver-based transformational leadership company, he specializes in helping individuals and organizations create authentic lives and cultures. Tom’s background includes leadership of large organizational departments as well as overseeing numerous high profile projects and initiatives. Tom has a BS degree in Finance from the University of Colorado and a certificate in Total Quality Management for Service Organizations from the University of Phoenix. He received his coaching certification from Corporate Coach University in 2001.

Deborah Petty has more than 20 years of service, training, coaching, management and leadership experience. Her clients are the nation’s top service organizations and include Nordstrom, Disney, Intuit, and Residence Inn by Marriott. Trained by the Coaches Training Institute, she has also studied leadership skills with the top leaders in the field such as James Kouzes, author of The Leadership Challenge, and is certified in The Leadership Challenge Workshop. Deborah’s degree is in Dance and Theater. This experience and training adds the color and vitality so necessary to teach, motivate and captivate today’s audience. Deborah has shared her knowledge with thousands of people, training individuals from numerous industries and backgrounds.

Larry Prochazka, Ed.D., has been in the education and training field for over 15 years, teaching workshops in leadership, creativity and group dynamics in university, corporate and government settings. As a wilderness instructor, he has led five-week trips teaching leadership and team building skills to participants. Larry specializes in helping teams and team leaders improve their accountability and productivity by increasing their capability to communicate, listen, connect and be creative. Some of the organizations Larry has worked with as a trainer and facilitator include Microsoft, The FBI, The Colorado Department of Transportation, The Denver Water Board and the United States Air Force Academy. Larry received his Doctorate of Education from the University of Utah.

Kriss Wittmann has over 15 years of experience in higher education and corporate training. Kriss has provided training and leadership to universities in the U.S. and in Great Britain, to organizations such as The U.S. Postal Service, ADT Security Systems and Sprint PCS. Kriss specializes in topics such as coaching, performance management, team building, presentation skills and customer service. Also a graphic recorder, Kriss teams with our other facilitators to provide an accelerated learning experience for workshop participants. Kriss’ background includes positions as Southwest Region Training Supervisor for Sprint PCS and Ropes Course Facilitator for Colorado State University. She holds a BA in Communication Arts and a Masters degree in Higher Education from Colorado State University. She is also a certified trainer of Zenger-Miller courses and a member of ASTD.
